Ismatu Gwendolyn went from clinically-trained therapist to public scholar engaging in guerrilla theory nearly overnight. Gaining traction in short-form video, they decided utilize their stage to write about the systems surrounding our daily lives to an ever-growing audience. In addition to written artworks, Ismatu has partnered with Social Income to pilot a Universal Basic Income program so that the products of her art increase the quality of her world in tangible ways. You can read more about this under the Projects tab.

Ismatu dedicates themself to sovereignty in the personal and the collective. They live in liminal space with their cat, Lemon.
